NBA Line Betting: Bobcats bite means more Knicks misery
Kemba Walker – a star in the making
“My money is firmly on Charlotte at around [2.0] with the generous +4.5 handicap.”
New York will struggle against a strong Charlotte side while Indiana look set to march on and Portland bid to win a tight contest. Nick Shiambouros previews the three games and provides handicap betting advice.
New York Knicks v Charlotte Bobcats The Knicks slumped to 6-10 for the year after losing 119-114 to Denver on Saturday night. They had every chance to beat the Nuggets but paid the price for some dreadful decisions towards the end of the game.
Superstar guard Carmelo Anthony is shooting a career low 40.4 percent and is taking way too many shots. He needs to give up the basketball more often and pass up low percentage opportunities.
The Bobcats are 3-14 for the season but have an all-time record of 9-4 against New York. Rookie guard Kemba Walker has hit the ground running for Charlotte and is averaging 11.4 points per game. He’s a star in the making and should have plenty to say against the struggling Knicks.
My money is firmly on Charlotte at around [2.0] with the generous +4.5 handicap. They have a great record against New York who are on a six game losing streak. As previously reported the Knicks must be opposed in the short term.
Orlando Magic v Indiana Pacers
The Magic are 11-5 for the season but were beaten 87-56 by the Boston Celtics on Monday night. The Celtics held the Magic to a franchise low in points with a superb defensive effort.
This was a shocking effort from Orlando who have to regroup in a hurry against the talented Indiana Pacers.
The Pacers are 11-4 for the season and are unbeaten at home at 5-0. Indiana put up a superb effort on Sunday when beating the Los Angeles Lakers 98-96 in California. Forward Danny Granger scored 16 points and was the most effective player on the floor.
The Indiana Pacers are the real deal and cannot be opposed in this fascinating contest. They are well rested and can take advantage of an Orlando team coming off a humiliating loss. Indiana must be backed at around [1.9] with the -4 handicap.
Memphis Grizzlies v Portland Trailblazers
The Grizzlies are 10-6 for the season. On Monday night they overcame a 20 point deficit to defeat Golden State 91-90 in a pulsating encounter. This was the seventh win in a row for Memphis who are making plenty of noise in the Western Conference.
The Portland Trailblazers are 10-7 for the season but have only lost once at home. On Monday night they thrashed Sacramento 101-89 with a dominant display. Jamal Crawford scored a season high 26 points.
This promises to be a close run affair but I must favour Portland with the -3 handicap at around [1.9].They are in irresistible form at the Rose Garden and should be a little fresher than Memphis who expended a lot of energy on Monday night.
